This barbecue sauce with a smoky flavor is delicious. The recipe is from an American gastronomy magazine. As is well known, Americans are specialists in doing it and do it very well.
It is perfect for preparing barbecue ribs. Also to accompany and season all kinds of meat, pizzas, etc.
Notes on the recipe.
To prepare barbecue sauce we will need crushed natural tomato, apple cider vinegar, sugar and various spices.
We will put all the ingredients in a pot and cook the sauce for 15-20 minutes or until it thickens.
As you can see there is nothing easier in the world than preparing a barbecue sauce.
I do not recommend replacing brown sugar with white. Brown sugar, unlike white, contains molasses that gives the sauce a very special flavor: it is also less sweet.
I also don't recommend replacing garlic and onion powder with fresh garlic and onion. The aroma of powdered ones is different from that of fresh ones, more muted.
Ingredients:
1 can of 400 g of crushed tomato
100 g of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of honey
90ml apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons of Perrins sauce
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoonful of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon hot paprika
Explanation, step by step:
In a saucepan we put all the ingredients and put it to cook.
At first cook over high heat. When it starts to boil, simmer and reduce the sauce until you get the desired thickness. Occasionally remove it.
When it has thickened, turn off the heat and remove the sauce.
To make its texture smooth and homogeneous, pass it through the mixer. Cool it and voila!
